Schlick provides information on the wide variety of woven textiles and baskets made by mid-Columbia River Indians (from Richland to Vancouver, Washington) and their ancestors, as well as their cultural significance. Included are many archival photographs and close-up examples, accumulated from the author's relationship with tribes that has lasted for over 40 years.
